Astrological compatibility of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
This article is a case study of the astrological compatibility between the celebrity couples Deepinka Padukone and Ranveer Singh. This study will use the compatibility logic which is used in the FindingYou dating app.

Deepika Padukone is the daughter of a professional badminton player Prakash Padukone and she played badminton at national championships as a teenager. Her film career got a big boost in 2007 when she played a premier role in the Bollywood film release, Om Shanti Om. She won the Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut. Since then she has pretty much taken Bollywood by storm.
Ranveer Singh is a relative to the Bollywood actor’s dynasty, the Kapoor family. He started his film career in 2010 and it has been on the rise since then.
Relationship Quality and Story
Deepika and Ranveer met in 2012 at an award show in Macau, and started dating after that. Finally they got married on the 12th November 2018. At the time of this writing they have no children.
Their relationship has been scrutinized since the beginning by the Indian media and they are considered to be the ideal couple, boosting chemistry and expressing their love for each other publicly whenever the opportunity arises.

Deepika Padukone was born on the 5th of January 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
AstroDataBank gives her reported birth-time (10:00 AM) the score of C, indicating that this birth-time is questionable. According to a source this time came from the mother’s friend. There is also another birth-time attributed to her on various Indian websites that use 2:39 AM, but there is no source quoted.
Ranveer Singh was born on 6 July, 1985, in Mumbai, India. Unfortunately we do not have any information on Ranveer’s time of birth, which may limit the value of our analysis. Many Indian astrologers use 12 o’clock noon as his birth time.
The bottom line is that both of them have non-existing and questionable birth times. This means that any evaluation that uses the Ascendant and the astrological houses (bhāvas) is just a guess. The same thing applies to the accurate position of the Moon.
Guṇa Milān / Aṣṭhkūta Analysis! How do they score?
Aṣṭhkūta analysis (more commonly called Guṇa Milān) is an ancient Indian compatibility scoring system that compares the Nakṣatra position of the Moon in the two horoscopes.
The main concern here is that the Moon’s Nakṣatra of each of them is the correct one.
The day Deepika was born, the Moon was in the Nakṣatra Citrā at midnight, but moved into Śvatī Nakṣatra at roughly 2:17 AM, and remained there for the rest of the day. This means that if either of the reported birth-times of Deepika is correct she was born with Moon in Śvatī.
Ranveer’s case is a bit more stable, as on his birthday the Moon remains in Śrāvaṇa Nakṣatra and only goes into the next Nakṣatra, Dhaniṣṭhā, about two minutes before midnight.
Therefore the table below is very likely accurate.
The overall score 20 out of 36 is average and therefore quite alright. Also in five categories out of eight they get a full score.
But the biggest surprise is the category of fertility, Yoni kūṭa, which gets no value in this table. Apart from fertility, Yoni also is supposed to show the degree of sexual chemistry, so this score is surprising for this couple who have been branded for their electrifying chemistry.

Are either of them Maṇgalik?
Maṇgal Doṣa (also known as Kuja Doṣa or simply Maṇgalik) happens in birth charts when Mars is in 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th houses (bhāva) away from the Lagna (Ascendant) or the Moon.
The principle is that the couple ends up with a similar number of blemishes. It’s like one blemish of the same kind is capable of canceling out the negative effects.

In the case of Ranveer there is no blemish of Mars from the Moon. We cannot judge for blemishes from his Lagna (Ascendant) since we do not have an accurate birth-time in his case. The only blemish that we know he has is his Rahu as seen from the Moon, which positively cancels the Rahu/Moon blemish in Deepika’s chart.
However, Deepika has Mars in her Lagna (1st house) according to her 2:39 AM chart, which qualifies as a Maṇgal Doṣa. Some traditions would say that in her case this blemish is cancelled, because Mars is in a movable sign. But this doesn’t happen in her 10:00 AM chart.
But, in addition, Deepika has Maṇgal Doṣa from the Moon, as well as Rahu blemish from both Moon and Ascendant.

Deepika’s Moon trine Ranveer’s Moon
This is an excellent sign of compatibility as it indicates that Deepika and Ranveer share many similar sensibilities with regard to how to make each other comfortable, safe and cozy. They may also be quite synchronized in the way they feel about various topics and phenomena. This includes issues of general taste and sense of style.
Deepika’s Sun opposite Ranveer’s Sun
This could indicate that each one of them, as individual expressions, operate as polar opposites of each other. But being polar opposites can be quite helpful for both of them, as their individual sense of self can both mirror the other or create ego conflicts. If not handled properly this could end up as an ego conflict, with one being the winner or ruler, and the other as a follower or loser. However, no matter what time is correct, the Time-Space Composite has a distinct conjunction between Mars and Venus. This is possibly the biggest indicator of their famous chemistry and passion that they seem to have for each other. But without accurate birth times we cannot see how this plays out in their lives.
Conclusion
While the Guṇa Milān analysis came up with the surprising 0 value for Yoni, it is more than made up for in their synastric chemistry, especially their Venus Mars opposition. But the fruitfulness of their chemistry may be questionable.
If Deepika’s 10am birth time is correct, she is quite likely to have a child before the end of 2023. But if that happens it may not be a normal conception, possibly an artificial insemination.
It is hard to judge the compatibility between them without having the accurate birth-times available.
